Singing the Psalms: A Variety of Approaches

The world of church music offers up an endless array of choices for how our congregations and choirs might sing the psalms. In this workshop, we will touch on (and lend our voices to) the gamut of these musical opportunities. Together we will examine all kinds of approaches, traditional and modern — from plainchant to metrical psalmody, from Anglican Chant through various kinds of responsorial psalmody. Be prepared to have your musical horizons expanded!
