  • How to Negotiate and Advocate without Getting Fired Before You Start!
    808 Howell St
    July 6, 2022 @ 11:00 am
As organists, we know how to play hymns and a Bach fugue, but when it comes to employment issues, sometimes our skills are lacking. This workshop will help to empower all of us to advocate for ourselves when requesting a contract, negotiating benefits, etc.  Presented by the Committee on Career Development and Support and Dr. Vicki Schaeffer, Councillor for Membership, we will discuss tactics and strategies that can help all of us, whether we are just starting our careers or are looking at retirement. It is never too late to learn what it takes to make sure we are being treated as professionals.
